Lansing Makers Network depends on the generosity of our community to survive and thrive. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all donations (cash, equipment, etc) are considered tax-deductible as long as they have not been traded or exchanged for goods or services. Membership dues and classes are not tax deductible. Please consult your accountant or tax professional for more information.
Monetary donations help us execute the strategic vision and mission for Lansing Makers Network. Equipment purchases, space build-out and upgrades, and new classes and workshops are all areas that benefit from your gift to your local makerspace. Membership dues are used primarily to cover operation costs of running the makerspace (utilities, insurance, rent, etc) while expansion and new programs at the space rely on your support.

Tools & Equipment Donations
The majority of equipment available at Lansing Makers Network is provided through the generosity of our members and community. Equipment and tool donations are always considered. There are many considerations involved in accepting a piece of equipment including availability of parts, maintenance costs, training resources, power and space requirements, etc. For more information, please refer to our gift acceptance policy and take a moment to view our donation wish-list. Please contact us for more information or to inquire about the possibility of a donation (pictures are always helpful!) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
